Capsicum frutescens,  A Traditional Hot Red Cowhorn, Heirloom - AKA: Cow Horn, Pre-Columbian in origin, named for Cayenne River in French Guyana, reputed to have been documented in 1493 by Christopher Columbus & one of his passengers named de Cuneo. Long, thin 5 to 6-inch fruit mature from emerald green to scarlet red (can be eaten either way) & (in most cases) probably what most non-experts think all Chile Peppers look like.  SOWING - Peppers require a long, warm growing season. Sow indoors Early Spring or approx 8 weeks prior to transplanting, 1 cm deep & provide constant moisture & warm soil, germination is sometimes slow to start, once seedlings develop 2-3 true leaves, transplant into separate permanent containers or ground with some protection, Best in a greenhouse.
